This is what we know about DJ Selah:
He became active in the DC punk then later skinhead music scene in the 80’s, 90’s. His introduction to Two Tone changed his music trajectory which took still another turn after hearing the original JA ska tunes that had been covered by Two Tone. He immersed himself in traditional ska and then later roots, rubadub, dancehall and dub. His first published work was “Model Citizen” on The Pietasters first album. He has also been featured on other Pietasters albums including songs like, “Tasters Choice”, Drunken Master” and “Can’t Stand It”. DJ Selah continues to perform with The Pietasters and many other bands and sound systems.
